Trex® Composite Decking Installation in North Georgia
Composite Decking Installers Certified by Trex® Itself
Composite boards are only half the product. The other half is the install: framing spec’d for composite spans, hidden fasteners set correctly, gapping tuned for Georgia’s temperature swings, and breathability details that keep the warranty valid. North Georgia Elite Decks holds TrexPro® Platinum status, a tier Trex reserves for roughly the top 1% of its contractors nationwide, earned through factory training, install volume and audited customer satisfaction.
We install Trex® and TimberTech® across Canton, Woodstock, Alpharetta, Cumming, Jasper and Ellijay, and we put our certification behind every board.

What Does a Trex® Deck Cost in North Georgia?
Most composite decks land between $18,000 and $55,000+ installed, driven by size, Trex line and railing choice. Resurfacing an existing sound frame in Trex runs meaningfully less. Every quote is itemized to the board.

Trex® & Composite Decking Questions, Answered
How much does a Trex deck cost in North Georgia?
Most installed Trex decks run $18k to $55k+: a 16×20 in Enhance® starts around $18k, Select® and Transcend® land $22k to $30k, and multi-level or Lineage™ projects range higher. Resurfacing a sound existing frame in Trex runs $12k to $20k. The free calculator gives you a personalized range in under a minute.
Is composite decking worth the extra cost?
Run the 10 year math. Wood costs less to build but demands restaining every 2 to 3 years plus ongoing board fixes, while composite needs soap and water. By year 10 total costs nearly converge, and by 15 composite typically wins outright while still looking new. If you plan to stay in your home, it’s the stronger buy.
Does composite decking get hot in the Georgia sun?
Darker boards in full sun do get warm, composite and wood alike. We plan for it honestly: lighter colorways for exposed decks, Transcend® Lineage™ with heat-mitigating technology for the sunniest sites, and shade structures where the design allows. Tell us your sun exposure and we’ll steer the color choice.
Trex or TimberTech: which do you install?
Both, and we’ll recommend by project rather than by habit. Our Platinum certification is with Trex, and TimberTech brings its own strengths in certain colors and profiles. You’ll see samples of each, and the honest tradeoffs, before you decide.
How long does Trex decking last?
Trex warranties its boards for 25 to 50 years depending on line, covering fade, staining and material defects. Realistically a well-installed composite deck outlives the warranty paper. The structure underneath matters just as much, which is why our composite-spec framing gets the same attention as the boards.
Can you install Trex on my existing deck frame?
Often, yes. The frame must pass structural inspection and meet composite spacing requirements, which usually means adding joists or blocking. When it qualifies, resurfacing saves thousands over rebuilding. That service lives under deck remodeling, and the free assessment tells you if your frame makes the cut.
