Deck Service Questions, Answered
How do I know whether my deck needs repair, remodeling or replacement?
It comes down to the frame. If posts, joists and the ledger are sound, you’re looking at repair or a remodel that keeps the structure and changes the surface. If rot has reached the framing in multiple places, replacement usually costs less than chasing it. Our free inspection tells you which camp you’re in, in writing, with photos.
Do you charge for estimates?
No. On-site visits, design conversations and safety inspections are free anywhere in our service area, and quotes come itemized so you can see exactly what you’re buying. There’s no obligation and no follow-up pressure campaign.
Which North Georgia areas do you serve?
More than 30 cities from our Jasper base, including Canton, Woodstock, Alpharetta, Cumming, Ellijay, Blue Ridge and Marble Hill. Our areas we serve page lists every community with drive times, and if you’re near the edge of the map, just ask.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes, on every project that needs them. Elevated and roofed structures require permits throughout our counties, and codes have tightened in recent years around ledger attachment, guard height and stair geometry. We prepare drawings, pull permits and meet inspectors so you never touch the process.
How far out are you booking?
Repairs and finish work typically start within a couple of weeks. Larger builds book further out, especially in spring, and permitting adds county-dependent time. You’ll get a written schedule before work starts, and Jordan keeps you posted if anything shifts.
Can you work on a deck another company built?
Constantly. Repairs, remodels, railing upgrades and refinishing on other builders’ decks are a large share of what we do. We’ll tell you honestly what was done well and what wasn’t, without turning it into a sales pitch you didn’t ask for.
