What areas do you serve for deck building in North Georgia?
We build across nine North Georgia counties from our Jasper headquarters: Pickens, Cherokee, Gilmer, Fannin, Union, Forsyth, Dawson, Lumpkin and North Fulton (Alpharetta, Milton and Roswell). That covers 30+ communities including Jasper, Big Canoe, Canton, Woodstock, Holly Springs, Ellijay, Blue Ridge, Blairsville, Cumming, Dawsonville, Dahlonega, Alpharetta, Milton and Roswell. We do not serve the rest of Metro Atlanta, including Cobb, Gwinnett, DeKalb, Paulding or South Fulton.
Do you charge extra for travel to my city?
No. Estimates are free everywhere in our service area, and travel is built into how we price projects, so you won’t see a separate trip charge line on an NGE Decks quote. Every quote is itemized, and you see exactly what you’re paying for.

Do deck permit requirements differ between counties?
Yes, and this trips up a lot of DIY builds. Most North Georgia counties require a permit for decks over 30 inches high or attached to the house, but deck permit requirements vary by county. Can you build on steep mountain lots?
It’s a specialty. Our founder’s background is full home construction, so elevated decks on steep grades, with proper footings, engineered posts, and correct load paths, are exactly the work we’re built for. A large share of our Blue Ridge, Big Canoe, and Ellijay projects are on lots other builders passed on.
